Cottonwood Tree & other October Happenings

Hello there Adventurous Friends, how you doing?  Kevin & I are well here in South Dakota other than a cough here, a sneeze & runny nose there, but not Covid yet that we know of.  There was community spread of Covid in our county this month.  A lot of community activities & sports events were canceled or postponed, school closed & went to online learning.

This is my October happenings, writing a little something about each day in a long drawn out sentence or 2.  Here are highlights of others I've linked up with. I've been watching the tree in our front yard go through it's seasonal changes from year to year since we moved to our current place 4 1/2 years ago.  The tree has grown quite a bit.  It will eventually have to be cut down as you will notice, it's very close to the driveway & street.  Also the town has mentioned putting in a sidewalk.  I took a picture of the tree everyday this month & watched for changes from day to day.  Our month started with beautiful warm fallish like weather & ended with fidget temperatures & a winter wonderland.

    1. Keeping busy keeps us young....heheheh! If a family member gets Covid then others here keep going to school & work. I enjoyed the creativity of the Grand announcement. Daughter is good at those such things.

  3. What wonderful news to share! We visited South Dakota last year and could not believe what our rental car looked like when it was time to turn them in-- I mean we have bugs up here too but not like that. Great tip about getting the bugs off the car.

    1. It was fun taking the pictures of the tree. I've got to get my Christmas presents finished up & in the mail. Due to Covid & whatnot, it is taking longer for my boxes to get to Daughter.

  5. Love the photos of the tree over the past few weeks. Have always wanted to take pictures of our peach tree from the first sign of life in the spring until its branches are laden with fruit.
Can't believe how quickly you've gone into winter!!

  6. You should certainly take pictures of your tree, I enjoyed doing it. We got some nice days to get in a ride & picnic after the snow melted. Daughter says she is not going to find out the gender of this bundle of joy & let it be a surprise to all.
